Crap, I’m 30

30! Oh shit! The age every woman dreads right? My hair will turn gray, my boobs will start to sag and my butt will get bigger cause my metabolism will turn to slush.

Well, so far I feel pretty damn good. My hair isn’t gray, my boobs aren’t sagging…yet. So what if I get a bigger butt, big booty’s are in now.

Overall, I try to take care of myself but enjoy life at the same time. I learned a lot and made some stupid mistake in my 20’s that now I feel confident to go into my 30’s with less BS.

Here’s a list of ten things I’ve learned so far

  1. The world doesn’t care about you
  2. Don’t settle in a relationship, even if you feel there is no way out, there always is
  3. Traveling alone is a great experience
  4. If you want travel the world, make it happen, don’t wait for someone to plan it for you
  5. No one cares if you gain five pounds.
  6. Memories count, calories don’t
  7. You aren’t entitled to anything, work hard and work even harder
  8. There is no timeline for when you should achieve things, like buying a house or getting married
  9. Naps are amazing
  10. You can’t drink and party like you used to

Overall, I want to enjoy life and not worry about the pettiness. So enjoy that glass of wine or go out on that fancy dinner, but get back to reality the next day. Work hard and then relax.

What’s something you’ve taken from your 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and beyond?

Feeling great at 30!

  1. Interesting post. I’m not looking forward to 30 because to me 30 is when you are officially old. Yes, the world doesn’t care about you and more people need to realize that.

    • Thanks for the comment! 30 used to seem old to me as well, but I honestly feel more content now than when I was younger. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Great thoughts, and valid not only for thirty year olds but right across the spectrum. I can’t party and drink like I used to either … but hey, life is still pretty good!!!

  3. I’ve learnt that nobody gives a poop and that age is a load of shite when your past 25 as long as your happy and are doing what you want to do who cares how old we are.. (I turned 30 in Aug this year)
I’m a mum of 3 married and have a really good full time job so 30 is pretty dam sweet for me.

    • I couldn’t agree more! It’s funny when we’re younger we care so much. As we get older, life gets better in ways that you no longer give a damn! Thanks for leaving a comment!

  4. Age is part of life. Getting old is a mindset. I know people a lot younger than I who have stopped learning and growing, who aren’t really living. Every year on my birthday I celebrate that I got to live another year. I am happier and more content than I was in my twenties. 30 is so young. Someday you might agree with me.
