Storms and Whiskey

Tonight, there is going to be a wind storm with lots of rain! I’m already planning for my night in. Here’s how I’m preparing.

  • Books to read
  • Stories to write
  • Whiskey (to keep me warm)
  • Flashlights and candles (if power goes out)
  • More whiskey
  • Snacks

I’d prefer to not lose my power, but if I do, I’ll be ready. I have battery packs to charge my Kindle and phone.

I’ll curl up on the couch, cocoon in blankets, be a frump and enjoy adult beverages. Sounds like a good night to me! I don’t need a reason to be a hermit, but a rain storm is as good as any.

Tell me your favorite whiskey!

  1. Hi, Joanna! Thanks for stopping by my blog! It seems we’re both on a writer’s journey. Indeed, there are few inspirations better than a storm! And snack, of course. Lots and lots of snacks.

  2. Hmm- windy and rainy, by chance are you a fellow Pacific northwesterner? I’m liking your plan, I think I might have to follow suite this weekend! Lots of writing and watching the storm from the comfort of my house. 😃

      1. Oh beautiful area! Im a bit south from you, I’m in Vancouver, WA, right across the river from Portland, OR. I love it out here. I’m curious to see if this storm does what they say it will. I hope all goes well up where you are!
